Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the inventory.chat website and service. By creating an account you agree to them.

Using the service

You may use inventory.chat to run costing and inventory for your business. Please don't attempt to break into it, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other customers, or resell access to it as your own product.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and any API or MCP tokens you issue secure, and for what is done with them.

Your data

Your parts, rates, formulas, quotes and job history remain yours. You grant us permission to store and process them only as needed to provide the service. You can export everything and close your account at any time.

The chat and connected assistants

The chat and any AI assistant you connect over MCP act on your instructions, under the permissions you grant. Actions taken through them are your actions, the same as if you had used the interface directly. Scope your tokens accordingly — read-only access is available where you don't need writes.

Costing figures are computed by our engine from the materials, rates and formulas you configure. They are only as accurate as the data you enter, and you remain responsible for reviewing a price before you give it to a customer.

Pricing and billing

Plans are billed per shop as described on the pricing page. Founding pricing applies to accounts opened during early access and holds for as long as the account remains active. We'll give notice before any change that affects what you pay.

Availability

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but it is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. Keep your own exports if continuity matters to your business.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or mispriced work, arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Cancellation

Cancel whenever you like. No exit fee and no retention call. Your data stays available for export for a reasonable period after cancellation.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be dated at the top of this page and notified to account holders.
